Appearance: Medium amber-orange.
Nose: Wine, raisin, cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, malt biscuits.
Palate: Vanilla, caramel, raisin, malt biscuits, sugar, quite sherry-like.
Finish: Honey, vanilla candy, raisin, pepper.
With Water: Very smooth and sweet on the rocks.
Overall: Sweet vanilla and caramel. The wine adds a nice touch over the regular version.
The blended whiskies Amahagan have their name directly from the distillery Nagahama.
Because the word «Nagahama» means «Amahagan» upside down.
