DESCRIPTION

The house was founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot. Since the creation of the brand Veuve Clicquot, the house has specialized in the production of champagne, based on the variety Pinot Noir.
Only two years after the marriage of Francois Clicquot and Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin, her husband died. Barbe-Nicole Clicquot then took over her late husband's business in 1810.
In 1986, Veuve Clicquot merged with Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessey. Today, Jacques Peters is the head winemaker of Veuve Clicquot.

The company's motto then, as now, was 'Only one quality - the finest'.

The Veuve Clicquot Brut Réserve Cuvée is similar to the Yellow Label, which presents the house Veuve Clicquot since 1772.
A perfect balance between power, finesse and complexity is obtained from the predominant presence of Pinot Noir and other reserve wines.

Tasting notes:

Elegant golden yellow in the glass. On the nose complex and fruity notes of orange zest, drop fruit and floral honey. On the palate, noticeable toasted aromas and nuances of apples, peaches and honey. After three to four years of aging, it achieves that biscuity complexity for which Clicquot is famous. Long lasting on the finish.

Grape varieties: Pinot Noir 56%, Chardonnay 28%, Pinot Meunier 16%.
Residual sugar: 10 g/l.
Acidity: 5,4 g/l.
Drinking temperature: 8°C.
Cellaring potential: 3-4 years.

The champagne goes very well with seafood, parmesan, salmon, fish tartar and duck.
