The GlenAllachie Wine Cuvée Cask Finish 2012/2023 10 Years Old 48% Vol. 0,7l in Giftbox

To craft The GlenAllachie Wine Cask Series, Master Blender Billy Walker first expertly matured our spirit in the finest American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, before transferring the whisky into hand-selected European wine barriques for secondary aging. Billy added a distinctive twist to this release by ultimately blending four exceptional wine cask finishes into one unique expression: The Cuvée Wine Cask Finish.

The Cuvée Cask Finish comes from French red wine barrels that come from the Languedoc and Médoc regions. The single malt was allowed to mature for 10 years - from 2012 to 2023 - during which time it developed aromas of strong, red fruits and gentle spices with a hint of citrus and malt full of character.

The character development of each individual barrique was carefully monitored, before the whiskies were expertly blended together by Billy. The resulting golden liquid offers up elegant stone fruits, hints of toasted almonds and zesty orange peel on the palate.

This limited expression is bottled unchilfiltered for flavour with no added colouring at 48% ABV.

Golden Bronze.

NOSE

Bursting with orange blossom, espresso, maraschino cherries and honeysuckle, with hints of candied stone fruits, hazelnuts, lavender and cinnamon.

TASTE

Waves of dark chocolate, redcurrants and burnt coffee beans, followed by crystalised almonds, blackberries and orange zest, with ginger and liquorice on the finish.
