This provides additional depth, warmth and complexity to the flavor profile.

In the second maturation stage, the Unicum is transferred to Tokaj oak barrels in which the famous Hungarian sweet wine Tokaji Aszú was previously stored. These barrels give the liqueur its exceptionally soft, round structure and balance fruity, vinous nuances with the bitter, spicy herbal tones that have shaped the character of Unicum for generations.
