Ancho Reyes is a liqueur made from the unique Chile Ancho (a mild and very broad variety of chilli).
This liqueur is inspired by a recipe from the 1920s.
Tasting notes:
- Colour: gold.
- Nose: Warm, dried chilli, cinnamon, cocoa.
- Taste: Silky, warm, slightly acidic, sweet baking spices.
- Finish: Long lasting, smoky heat.
Traditionally Ancho Reyes was drunk pure, today it is mainly used for cocktails.
