Plantation Rums are no longer a well-kept secret. These excellent rums are primarily sourced from the Caribbean and South America and then transported to France, where they undergo their final maturation. In Ars, France, the rum is subsequently aged for several months in small, repurposed oak cognac casks. This type of aging is called "double aging," a technique already used in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Plantation Rum Barbados 5 Years Old Traditional is distinguished by its unique aging process. First, the rum matures for three years in bourbon barrels under the tropical climate of Barbados, where it develops intense aromas. It is then transported by sea to southwestern France, where it matures for a further two years in ex-Ferrand casks under the continental climate.
