This rum was distilled in Barbados in 2011, matured for four years in bourbon barrels and then aged for six years in Ferrand cognac barrels in France. The final finish in Maury wine barrels - a French sweet wine with intense fruit and depth - gives the rum a particularly complex aroma. The maturation follows the tried and tested "double ageing" principle, in which the first phase takes place in a tropical climate and the second in a continental climate - a technique that was already used in the 18th and 19th centuries and has now been perfected by Plantation.

This rum is bottled at a powerful 48.1 % vol. without chill filtration in order to fully preserve the aromatic density and barrel characteristics. The elegant gift box also makes it a sought-after collector's item and a fine gift for lovers of complex rums.
