The Ardbeg Ardcore Limited Edition 2022 is an extremely unconventional, unmistakable and very full-bodied whiskey that was distilled from deep black roasted barley malt. It pays homage to "Punk Ellen", as the harbor at Port Ellen on the Scottish island of Islay was known in the 1970s. At the same time, the whiskey draws a link to Ardbeg's punk past, which many whiskey fans are not aware of. With its black heart and bold flavors, Ardcore is intended for the die-hard whiskey fanatic and perfect for celebrating Ardbeg Day and toasting the distillery whenever and wherever.

The Ardbeg Ardcore is an extremely intense and exceptional Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey that Ardbeg fans should not miss. The Ardbeg distillery describes it as "dram that tastes like biting into a prickly ball". 

On the nose, the limited edition Scottish drop presents an impressive and powerful fragrance with spicy notes of charred toast, hot spice paste, black chicory coffee and coffee grounds paired with notes of herbs and campfire smoke.

Ardcore is one of the strictly limited whiskeys that the famous Ardbeg distillery, based near Port Ellen on the Scottish island of Islay, has been releasing for many years on the occasion of Ardbeg Day. 

Ardbeg Day is always celebrated on the last Saturday of the Islay Festival of Music and Malt (Fèis Ìle), i.e. on June 4th in 2022. On the weekend, the Ardbeg distillery opens its doors and invites whiskey fans to get to know the distillery. There is also a lot of live music and a lively festival. After the festival had to be canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the corona pandemic and only a few virtual events were offered, it will be the first live event on site again in 2022.
