Camus, a Cognac house steeped in tradition, has stood for independence, family values and the highest level of craftsmanship since it was founded in 1863. Over five generations, the company has preserved these principles while pursuing innovative approaches to intensify the aromatic diversity of its cognacs.

The Camus Dark & Stormy Cognac is a unique expression with a maritime aromatic profile reminiscent of the crisp, refreshing sea air of a winter's day. Its special character results, among other things, from a significant proportion of eaux-de-vie from the fall of 2010, making it a rare and incomparable Cognac.

It is produced in Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré, a distillery on the Île de Ré that was founded in 1972. The chalky and sandy soils of the region, enriched by seaweed from the Atlantic, create ideal conditions for the grapes that give this Cognac its unmistakable character. Tradition and terroir come together here to create an exceptional product. 

Tasting notes:

Color: Dark amber with reddish reflections.
Nose: Complex notes of tropical fruits, spices, caramel and a light oak note.
Taste: Full-bodied and rich in fruity and spicy flavors that blend with sugar cane, black pepper and a slightly smoky oak spice.
Finish: Long-lasting and complex with a tropical fruitiness, spices and a mild oak finish.

The Camus DARK & STORMY Fine Island Cognac is perfect to enjoy neat or on ice to fully develop the complex flavors. It is also an excellent choice as a base for the classic Dark & Stormy cocktail or a Cognac Sour. In culinary terms, this Cognac is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meat, spiced fish, dark chocolate or tropical desserts such as pineapple crumble and rum cake.
