COQUEREL CALVADOS, 8 years old Rum finish, a blend of Calvados aged 8 to 10 in French oak barrels (300L) then maturing for 8 months in French oak Rum barrels (250L).

Aged 8 years in barrels, the 8-year-old Calvados Coquerel rum finish is then refined for 8 months in ex-rum barrels from the English West Indies. British tradition rums have the reputation of being among the most aromatic rums due to their long fermentation and pot still distillation.

This refining gives Calvados an elegant mouth, lemony notes, cooked apple and strong aromas of vanilla. The word “rum” is linked in many ways to our wonderful Normandy. In particular, it was discovered that in the 17th century, the word “rum” was born from the abbreviation of the word rumbullion from the old Norman 'round-bouillon', which designated alcohols distilled from cider or perry.
