DINGLE SINGLE MALT IRISH WHISKEY - BATCH NO. 6

"Small. Artisan. Independent. Proud." - These are the 'truths' of Dingle distillery, and which they hold true to themselves.

Located in Country Kerry in the South-West of Ireland, the Dingle Distillery produces whiskey's that they believe to be a product of their environment. They use local well water, manually mash their barley, use wooden fermentation vessels and copper pot stills. The environment they are located in also ensures the maturation process creates a whiskey unlike any other.

For their Single Malt whiskey's they use only 100% malted barley (their pot still whiskey's use a mix of malted and unmalted barley).

With their Batch No. 6 (the final release of their Single Malt Batch series) Dingle have used an all-Port maturation, and produced only 15,000 bottles in total.

The nose of this whiskey is influenced by the port casks, and gives a full-on intensity. Aromas of maple syrup, marmalade, crystalised ginger and butterscotch all entice the nose.

The flavaour is also full, and delivers heavily on fruit and spices. Stroopwaffels, redcurrant jelly, cranberries, gingerbread and even dark chocolate all coat the mouth. 

It finishes with sweetness building to the end, with ginger and honeyed dates coming forward.
