Dr. Bill, the creative mind behind the distillery's experiments, was inspired by the exotic impressions of colorful spice markets for this limited edition. His aim was to capture the variety and intensity of scents and aromas in a whisky that takes the connoisseur on a sensual journey.

A Tale of Spices was matured in an unusual combination of casks: Moroccan red wine casks, newly charred oak casks, Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and toasted red wine casks. This quadruple cask bottling ensures an impressive depth and complexity that is unparalleled in the whisky world. Bottled at 46% vol., without chill filtration and in a limited edition, this edition is a true collector's item and at the same time an experience for all the senses. 

Tasting notes:

Color: mustard gold.

Nose: Spicy and sweet at the same time, with floral accents of rose, carnation, jasmine and lilac. In addition, a variety of exotic spices such as cumin, saffron, nutmeg, ginger, chili and aniseed, accompanied by gentle oak and chestnut. Fruit notes, menthol and a subtle hint of bread dough open up with water.

Taste: Explosive on the palate with tingling spices such as ginger, black pepper and mustard seeds, which create an earthy depth. This is followed by a gentle sweetness of mint toffee, demerara sugar and sugar-coated almonds.

Finish: Long and complex with distinct notes of eucalyptus, cloves, leather and peppermint.

Glenmorangie A Tale of Spices is a whisky that is best enjoyed neat at room temperature to fully appreciate the exceptional cask composition and the multitude of spicy notes. The subtle fruit and menthol notes can be brought out even more clearly with a few drops of water.
