Isle of Raasay Distillery Special Release – Sherry Cask Finished Single Malt, 2022 Edition

Distillery Special Release showcases their desire to push the boundaries of Raasay single malt flavour further and to give you a taste of something different to their signature distillery style.

This distillery special release is their first ever sherry cask finished whisky.

Each bottle has its own unique number.

Matured first in the strong foundations of our ex-rye whiskey casks and finished in a combination of ex-Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks, this whisky boasts hints of peppery spice, almond, nuts and sweet fruit.

Floral notes along with nutmeg and clove. The perfect festive accompaniment.

Tasting notes:
Color: Bright gold.
Nose: Lightly peated and mineral, smoky, dried cherries, almonds, spices, nutmeg, clove.
Taste: Sweet dark fruits, raisins, dried figs, savoury spices, black pepper, roasted nuts, hazelnuts and a hint of saltiness.
Finish: Long lasting, silky, oily mouthfeel.
