Sweden originally had no tradition in whisky production — but this changed in 1999 with the founding of the Mackmyra distillery.
Special emphasis is placed on the exclusive use of Swedish products.
Due to the perfect geographical location, the distillery has constant access to crystal clear, purest water.
The barley used gets a special sweetness due to the long summer days and is one of the cornerstones of Mackmyra whiskies.

In this second edition of the Svensk Rök ('Swedish smoke') the maturing process takes place in exclusive new American oak barrels. This ageing gives the whisky notes of vanilla and herbs.

Colour: straw yellow.
Nose: spicy, smoke, oak, fruit, herbs, notes of peat, juniper, toasted oak, vanilla, salt, tobacco leaves, ginger.
Taste: Peat, juniper, salt, smoke, spicy oak, vanilla, figs, oak, notes of tobacco leaves.
Finish: Long lasting, peat smoke.
