DESCRIPTION
Once upon a time there was a green fairy who appeared to the Steiner Bros. and promised three wishes. "Wormwood, aniseed and fennel," the brothers replied, and in no time the Steinhorn was enchanted into a fine absinthe with the natural green of the local hyssop.
In a world without fairies and unicorns, this means that the Steiner Bros. one day discovered wormwood in the gentle vineyards of Ruppersthal, which they cultivated in the herb garden, dried in the attic and processed into the Steinhorn Fee absinthe.
And this is how Steinhorn Fee tastes:
In the glass, Steinhorn Fee shines in shimmering emerald green tones, which, when mixed with ice-cold water, turn into a milky light green due to the louche effect that occurs quickly. Anise and a hint of wormwood dominate the nose. On the palate, the complexity of the many ingredients condenses into an expressionistic variety of tastes. In the herbal-dominated finish, Steinhorn Fee leaves a pleasant warmth. Even pure, despite the 60% alcohol, the power of the Steinhorn can be felt, but no unpleasant sharpness.
Steinhorn Fee was the winner of the Falstaff Spirits Trophy 2021 with 92 points in the absinthe category.
Incidentally, the thujone content is well below the statutory upper limit.
