Elixir Distillers have launched with their whiskey series "The Single Malts of Scotland" a series consisting of carefully selected casks of the warehouses from the five whiskey regions of Scotland.
In addition to single bottlings, reserve casks were also produced. These consist only of small batches consisting of a few casks.
This Ben Nevis bottling is bottled after 8 years of maturation from three different single casks.

This whiskey was neither chill-filtered nor provided with dye.

Tasting notes:

Color: ocher.
Nose: Caramelized bananas, almonds, leather, intense oak.
Taste: Syrupy, sweet, stewed fruit, notes of blackcurrant, spicy oak, spices.
Finish: Long lasting, slightly dry, toasted flavors, malt, sweet spices.
