KYRÖ SAUNA STORIES Planteray Rum Cask Finish No. 1 50,8% Vol. 0,7l in Giftbox

A group of friends came up with the idea of starting their own distillery in the sauna after wondering why no one was making rye whisky in Finland. The idea stuck the next day, and so began the story of Kyrö Distillery. While Head Distiller Kalle's parents were on vacation, part of the house was quickly converted into a fermentation hall, where the first distillation trial with distilled beer was carried out within a week.

As the nearest distillery was a long way away, this was initially a challenge. Today, Kyrö has developed from a spontaneous idea into a successful distillery that produces high-quality spirits - always 100% from rye, with rye whisky as its trademark.

The sauna is a place of change, where no one leaves without having undergone at least a small transformation. It stands for purity and equality as it brings people together, creates connections and offers space for deep conversations. Just as the sauna is heated for valued people, the same is done with the whiskies. Completed in the 55°C environment of a Finnish sauna, the first bottling of the "Kyrö Sauna Stories" series is proudly presented. This single batch whisky refits in ex-bourbon casks and is finished in exclusive Plantaray Jamaican rum casks.

Bottled in 2024, this whisky is limited to 1,908 bottles.
