The distillery was opened in 1985, but it had to be closed again in 1992.
In 2011, light came back into the darkness and the distillery could produce whiskey again.
Through the revival of the Shinshu distillery can be regularly brought new releases, such as this limited edition, on the market.

The Komagatake Tsunuki bottling is a Japanese single malt aged for 3 years in the Tsunuki cellars.
The Tsunuki distillery was only opened in 2016.
Ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and ex-Umeshu casks are used in the 3-year maturation, 800 meters above sea level.

Colour: Light amber.
Nose: Delicately fruity, apple tea, cherries, brown sugar, caramel.
Taste: Full-bodied, fruity, peat smoke, vanilla.
Finish: Long lasting.
