Lush aromas of fruit and spice, balanced by peat and tarred rope: As is usual for the gateway to the Isle of Islay, the Port Askaig Sherry Cask Quarter pays homage to the unique flavors of the Hebridean island. Port Askaig single malts are real "mystery malts". Only so much can be revealed: It is a distillery from the north of the popular whiskey region.

The Port Askaig Sherry Cask Quarter is a small-batch bottling limited to 1,296 bottles. The Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey matured until March 17, 2023 and was combined from three American Oak Hogsheads and one Sherry Hogshead. The Andalusian cask portion turns the peaty-maritime whiskey into a summery-fruity dram for Islay fans, which - neither chill-filtered nor colored - unfolds at a crisp 57.1 percent by volume.
