DESCRIPTION
In 1975, Gérard Bertrand began his grape harvest at Château de Villemajou in the Corbières, where he discovered his passion for wine. Over the course of twelve years, he honed his skills alongside his father Georges Bertrand until the fourth generation finally carried on the legacy. After the tragic death of his father in 1987, Gérard Bertrand took over the family management of the Domaine de Villemajou and founded the Gérard Bertrand wine company. The Gérard Bertrand Group comprises 16 wine estates and 16 châteaux along the Mediterranean coast of France, covering a total of 850 hectares. Some of the grapes are harvested by hand and matured in 225-liter Bordeaux barrels, while the rest is stored in stainless steel tanks.
Gérard Bertrand Art de Vivre Languedoc Vin Blanc is a tribute to the region's Mediterranean heritage and unspoiled nature. Gérard Bertrand Art de Vivre Languedoc Vin Blanc is a tribute to the region's Mediterranean heritage and unspoiled nature. The Clairette grape variety is harvested parcel by parcel and exclusively in the early hours of the morning to preserve the freshness of the grapes. After the harvest, the grapes are pressed immediately, using only the first, highest quality juices for the wine. Pressing under neutral gas preserves the full aroma. Fermentation is carried out at controlled temperatures of between 13°C and 15°C and is stopped in order to achieve the ideal sugar content.
