The Hannes Reeh Heideboden Cuvée Rot 2021 14% vol. 0.75 l is a powerful yet elegant red wine cuvée from Burgenland that impressively reflects the region's potential. Composed of 60% Zweigelt, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Merlot, it combines the fruity fullness of Zweigelt with the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and the soft elegance of Merlot. The grapes come from gravel soils with a sandy content and are carefully harvested by hand.

Vinification involves spontaneous fermentation and a maceration period of four weeks, which ensures intense color and aromas. Subsequent aging in stainless steel tanks and barriques lends the wine additional complexity and depth. Sealed with a screw cap, it optimally preserves its freshness and aromas. Its shelf life is up to 2033 years, making it a special wine to enjoy both when young and when aged.

In the glass, the Heideboden Cuvée Rot 2021 presents a deep ruby ​​red. Aromas of dark, ripe berries dominate the nose, accompanied by a delicate spice. The Zweigelt grape variety is particularly evident in both aroma and flavor. On the palate, it is full-bodied, velvety, and harmonious, with soft tannins, ripe fruit, and a long, elegant finish.
