The Montes Cabernet Sauvignon Carmenère is a premium wine that captivates with its seductive, voluminous and soft character.

The highly perfumed nose presents intense aromas of ripe red and black fruits such as cherries in syrup, strawberries, and figs over a spicy back that recalls red and black pepper along with notes of fresh tobacco and crème de cassis that meld very well with the aromas of coffee and dark chocolate that appear after a few minutes in the glass.

The generous palate has very nicely rounded tannins that deliver a central nerve that lends structure to the wine along with a sense of sweetness on the mid-palate that makes this an elegant and juicy wine with very good persistence.

TASTING NOTES

The wine shows an intense crimson-red colour. It is very fruity on the nose, and unfolds mainly notes of ripe cherry and blackberry, in addition to black plum and dried fig.
As usual, it also presents interesting notes that derive from its ageing in barrels, contributing vanilla, nutmeg, and a slight touch of liqueur wine. It feels very balanced and enveloping on the palate, with soft tannins and great body.

SUGGESTIONS

Cellaring recommendation: Protect from light and high temperatures, over 15 °C. Can be enjoyed now or kept for up to seven years.
Recommended serving temperature: 17º–19 ºC (62º – 66 ºF).
Decanting: Recommended for at least 30 minutes.
Food pairing: Highly recommended with stir-fried beef, pork chops, spaghetti bolognese, lamb chops and mushroom risotto.
