The distillery A. H. Riise is located on St. Thomas Island, an American Virgin Island in the Caribbean.
Before this island became an American territory, it was a Danish colony.
Around the 1840s, the pharmacist Albert Heinrich was not only allowed to open a pharmacy but also to produce alcohol.

The A. H. Riise X. O. Reserve Rum belongs to the best rums of the West Indies.
Several types of rum are mixed together.
Only those rums are used which have been stored and matured in wooden barrels for at least 20 years.
The Master Distiller of the house selects each barrel personally.
Every single bottle is numbered, with the barrel number and the date of bottling.

Colour: gold.
Taste: Fruity, pronounced, mild, pleasant, sweet, mangoes, papayas, oranges, vanilla.
Finish: Long lasting, creamy.
