With the Ardnahoe 5 Years Old Inaugural Release, the youngest distillery on the Scottish island of Islay is launching its very first single malt bottling - a significant moment for the region and for collectors worldwide. Ardnahoe Distillery, founded in 2018 and idyllically located between Caol Ila and Bunnahabhain on the north-east coast of Islay, uses traditional methods such as long fermentation, slow distillation and the use of worm tubs - a rarity that gives the whisky a particularly oily and deep texture.

The Inaugural Release is a single malt Scotch whisky that has been matured for five years in a combination of first fill bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry casks. This cask selection produces vanilla sweetness and bright freshness as well as deep fruity notes and spicy oak aromas. With an alcohol content of 50% vol., uncolored and not chill-filtered, the whisky remains completely natural in its expressiveness - powerful, authentic and distinctive. As the distillery's first bottling, this whisky is not only a statement of taste, but also a coveted collector's item.
