Ballantine's SWEET BLEND Spirit Drink 30% Vol. 1L

Ballantine's Sweet Blend takes the well-known character of Ballantine's Scotch Whisky and turns it into something softer, sweeter and easier to approach. Built on the brand's signature whisky blend, it's enriched with natural caramel and vanilla flavourings, giving it a creamy, dessert-like personality that sets it apart from a traditional Scotch.

Because of this added flavouring and its 30% alcohol content, the drink falls outside the legal definition of Scotch whisky and is instead classified as a spirit drink, or whisky-based spirit. That said, the underlying malty whisky backbone hasn't disappeared — it's simply layered with rounder, sweeter notes that make the drink more accessible, especially for those newer to whisky-style spirits or looking for something less intense.

This release is designed with flexibility in mind: enjoy it neat, over ice, or as the base for easy long drinks and dessert-inspired cocktails. It's a modern addition to the Ballantine's range, aimed squarely at relaxed sipping and casual mixing rather than traditional whisky drinking. Tasting Note

In the glass, expect a warm, amber-gold hue. On the nose, hazelnut and vanilla pod aromas mingle with butterscotch and hints of caramelised apple. The palate brings creamy milk chocolate, crème brûlée and vanilla fudge, underscored by a subtle malt-biscuit character. The finish is silky and rich, with sweet, lingering notes of fudge and vanilla.
