The Bunnahabhain 21 Years Old Cask Strength Edition 2025 is an exceptional bottling from the traditional Bunnahabhain Distillery on Islay and is clearly aimed at lovers of matured, sherried single malts. This limited edition was bottled at cask strength with 53.1% and consistently dispenses with chill filtration and colorants, thereby fully preserving structure, depth and authenticity.

The whisky was matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks for the majority of the long maturation period before being given a final finish in selected Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This combination of casks gives the single malt exceptional depth and complexity without masking the maritime character typical of Bunnahabhain. Despite its origin from Islay, this Islay single malt Scotch whisky is less about smoke and more about elegance, salty nuances and a distinctly sherry-driven aroma. The Cask Strength Edition 2025 is therefore powerful, complex and long-lasting, but at the same time remarkably balanced. Tasting notes:

Color: Deep Auburn.

Nose: Rich, sweetish, intense, characterized by dried fruit, toffee, brown sugar, walnut, leather and a fine maritime saltiness.

Taste: Full-bodied, powerful, complex, with PX raisins, chocolate cherries, roasted nuts, spicy oak, espresso, cinnamon and clove notes.

Finish: Long-lasting, warming, chocolaty, accompanied by dark fruits, sherry spice and a subtle hint of sea breeze.

This long-lasting, structured Islay single malt is ideal for pure enjoyment in quiet moments and develops its full potential at room temperature. Ideal as an accompaniment to dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, desserts with dried fruit or mature hard cheese.
