Cà dei Frati Ronchedone Vino Rosso 2022 14% Vol. 0,75l

The cuvée combines the Marzemino, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties. The proportion of Marzemino provides fruity depth, Sangiovese brings elegance and spice, while Cabernet Sauvignon lends structure and strength. The grapes come from morainic soils with a high proportion of limestone and clay - typical of the area around Lake Garda. After a careful harvest, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with a long maceration period. The wine then matures for 14 months in oak barriques and a further four months in the bottle to develop its complex structure and aromatic complexity. 

Tasting notes:

The Ronchedone 2022 has a deep ruby red color in the glass. On the nose, it develops intense aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries, maraschino cherries and blueberries, complemented by spicy notes, balsamic accents and a hint of jam. On the palate, it impresses with fullness and precision: dark berry fruit meets fine roasted aromas, velvety tannins and an invigorating acidity. The finish is long, spicy and elegant - a red wine with great personality.

The Cà dei Frati Ronchedone is a versatile accompaniment to hearty dishes. It goes particularly well with grilled and braised beef, game dishes, hearty pasta dishes and mature cheeses. It also harmonizes perfectly with aromatic soups and Mediterranean meat dishes. Served at 16-18 °C and after a brief decanting, it unfolds its full aroma.
