Distilled on March 2, 2011, this Islay whisky matured for 12 years in a hogshead cask (#305289) before being bottled on January 9, 2024 in a small edition of just 264 bottles. With an impressive cask strength of 54.1% vol., it brings out the typical maritime and smoky characteristics of the Caol Ila distillery in a particularly powerful way.

As a typical Islay distillery, Caol Ila stands for expressive whiskies with intense peat smoke notes, which are combined with a fine sweetness and salty sea breezes. It was bottled uncolored and without chill-filtration to preserve its natural character.
