DESCRIPTION

The Moscato grape variety plays an important role in Piedmont. That's why the Grappa di Moscato is also a member of the Villa Isa Grappa collection by Roberto Dellavalle. With it, he presents six distinctive grape varieties from the region. These include: Nebbiolo, Moscato, Gavi, Barbera, Chardonnay and Barolo. Grappa di Moscata is available to buy matured and unripened as part of the Villa Isa collection. The Moscato pomace comes from first-class winemakers in the Piedmontese provinces of Asti, Alessandria and Cuneo. It is gently distilled with steam at the Villa Isa distillery in Vigliano d Asti. This ensures that the Moscato pomace is treated carefully. The distillates for the Invecchiata Grappa are aged in young oak barrels for around 18 months. The Villa Isa Grappa Moscato is bottled as a Gran Cuvee with an alcohol content of 42 percent by volume.

How does the barrel-aged Villa Isa Grappa Moscato taste?

Exactly how an aged Grappa di Moscato should taste. The pure Moscato Grappa is gentle and mild. Fruit aromas are complemented by delicate honey notes. Its elegant bouquet remains long in the finish. The copper-colored Moscato Grappa smells of elderflowers, violets and honey. Try the Villa Isa Moscato Grappa pure as a digestif and with espresso. Grappa lovers will be interested in the direct comparison of the white Villa Isa Grappa Moscato and the barrel-aged Villa Isa Grappa Moscato. Why not buy both versions?

The Villa Isa Distillery of Dellavalle is located in the heart of the traditional Piedmont wine region. Although the distillery was only founded in 1983, Robert Dellavalle Grappa is already well established internationally. The house's Moscato di Grappa, aged in barrels, presents the aromas of its homeland in an impressive way.
