Habitation Velier Providence Haitian Pure Single Rum 2019 52% Vol. 0,7l in Giftbox

Providence Haitian Pure Single Rum 2019 comes from the Distillerie de Port-au-Prince in Haiti, a distillery founded in 2018 that pairs traditional Haitian production methods with the expertise of La Maison & Velier. The rum is made from crystalline sugar cane syrup, processed in the traditional way.

This Pure Single Rum was distilled in September 2019 in a handcrafted Muller-Bain-Marie still. Its discontinuous distillation process is designed to retain the individual character of the raw material. A three-year maturation followed, from 2019 to 2022, entirely in original ex-Caroni casks. The result joins the artisanal work of a young Haitian distillery with casks from the legendary Caroni Distillery in Trinidad, now closed.

Bottled in 2022 at a robust 52% ABV and without added colouring, this 3-year-old rum holds a distinctive place within the Providence range. It comes in a 0.7-litre bottle presented in a gift box.
