40° 48’N HARBOUR is the result of Daniel Casas’ passion for navigation, the sea, cocktails and the riches of a unique, magical land: the Ebro Delta (Biosphere Reserve), to the point that he has been obsessed and inspired to merge it, in liquid state, in a gin that concentrates all the biodiversity and botanical wealth of the area in a balanced and harmonious manner.

HARBOUR is sea, salt, sand, port, boats, nets, sun, mistral, Delta… Elements fused together to produce a unique flavour, transmitting the essence of a life beside the water, a life which sails constantly out to sea, but knows that it must always return to its point of origin: 40°48’N 0°44’E, to the Badia del Fangar, to the Port, to L’Ampolla.

Handcrafted preparation

HARBOUR is a Distilled Gin truly handcrafted, distilled in a copper alembic more than 100 years old, with a capacity of 100 litres.

It is produced in small batches to better preserve the aromas, freshness and natural savour of the subtle and extraordinary plants, freshly picked and carefully hand selected by Daniel Casas (from Punta del Fangar, rice paddies, cliffs, L’Ampolla beaches and the GR-92 Mediterranean Path) and to achieve the fresh flavour, radiant and smooth, which characterises our gin.

The essence of the Delta

HARBOUR is a "Floral-herbaceous" type gin, made entirely with natural elements, hand picked in the Ebro Delta natural park, a natural and cultural heritage site.

An excellent combination of the marine and native botanicals of the area: lemon zest, orange peel, sea fennel (Crithmum maritimum), sea rocket (Cakile maritima), savory (Satureja obovata), glasswort (Salicornia europaea), four more plants and demineralised water from the sources of Ports de Tortosa-Beseit, a natural park.

Of a subtle turquoise blue colour with hints of emerald green, reminiscent of the tones of the sea in summer, presenting elegant notes of fresh juniper in the nose accompanied by mild marine hints provided by the wild botanicals of the Ebro Delta that it contains.

Hints of lemon and balsamic thyme, lavender, plums and freshly picked olives, which will transport you to the environment and landscape where this premium gin was born.

In the mouth it provides freshness and depth, the alcohol being totally integrated and refined. Its elegance and complexity enable it to be enjoyed neat, in cocktails and in the minimalist creation of the best gin & tonics.

To enjoy a singular and unique gin & tonic with Harbour Gin, neither complication nor excessive decoration or aromatic elements are necessary. The strong personality of Harbour Gin is perfectly expressed in minimalistic cocktails, where the quality of the products does not need to be masked with excessive elements. For this reason, we recommend the best way to enjoy our gin perfectly below.

Fill a balloon cocktail glass full of high quality ice and cool the glass stirring with a cocktail spoon. Once the water created has been poured out, add 5 cl. of Harbour Gin and a twist of wild lemon, squeezing out its essential oils. Then, pour in a whole bottle of premium neutral or herb or floral aromatised tonic water very slowly, to achieve a perfect contrast between sea and land. Finally, add two fresh juniper berries and finish off with a final simple swirl of the mix.
