Kilchoman is the first distillery built on Islay, today it is one of the last independent distilleries on Islay.
The Kilchoman GENESIS MALTING Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky tells the story of the creation of Kilchoman Whisky and the 1,130 day journey from harvesting the barley to bottling.
Stage 2 represents the malting of the barley, which is done by the distillery itself. This whiskey matures in a combination of bourbon, Sauternes, and sherry casks.
Colour: Light gold.
Nose: Smoky, fresh, notes of herbs.
Taste: Rich, slightly smoky, notes of salted caramel, herbs.
Finish: Long lasting.
