Originating from China, the anise plant was already known in ancient times for its therapeutic properties.
The main ingredients of the Italian classic include star anise, herbs, spices, sugar, alcohol and pure volcanic water.
The classic liqueur matures in large oak containers, after which it reveals itself to be round and balanced.
