Rather than being a flavoured liqueur, this spirit is distilled entirely from pure Italian-grown ginger root (Zingiber officinale Roscoe), capturing the plant's natural heat and aromatic intensity in concentrated form.

The process begins with anaerobic fermentation of the ginger in stainless-steel tanks, with no additives involved. The fermented ginger is distilled immediately afterward to lock in its freshness, using copper stills originally designed by Benito Nonino specifically for delicate raw materials like fruit and ginger. A slow, artisanal distillation preserves the root's essential character before the spirit rests in stainless steel for six months to a year, allowing its flavors to settle and integrate.

Bottled at 50% ABV in a 0.5 liter bottle, this is a limited-production spirit aimed at those seeking something beyond conventional liqueurs and eaux-de-vie — a true specialty for adventurous drinkers and collectors of distinctive distillates.

Tasting Note

Crystal clear in appearance, this spirit opens with a bold, warming aroma of pepper and spice, underscored by a hint of fresh citrus. On the palate it's rich and layered, delivering exotic spice, vivid fresh ginger, and a touch of lemongrass alongside a gentle building heat. The finish is remarkably long, staying spicy and warm with lingering citrus brightness and that signature ginger kick.

It's recommended to serve this spirit chilled, around 8°C, in a wide tulip glass — letting it breathe for a few minutes brings out the full depth of its aromatics.
