The Octomore EDITION: 16.2 Super Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt Release 2025 58.1% Vol. 0.7 l in tin box is a limited special bottling from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay and is part of the legendary Octomore range, which is regarded worldwide as the benchmark for extremely peated whiskies. The 16.2 also impresses with a phenol content of 101.4 ppm, giving it the same degree of peatiness as the Octomore 16.1.

The Octomore 16.2 is 5 years old and matured in a combination of four different cask types, which gives it a special depth and aromatic complexity. This variety of casks allows it to develop an exciting balance between intense smokiness, fruity sweetness, spicy wood notes and fine roasted aromas. It is bottled in its natural form, not chill-filtered, without colorants and at a strong cask strength of 58.1% vol. This makes it unadulterated, powerful and multi-layered - a typical Octomore that nevertheless develops its own personality thanks to the choice of cask.

Nose: Massively smoky, with vanilla, dried fruit, spicy oak and a hint of dark chocolate.

Taste: Powerful and complex, characterized by peat smoke, caramel, toffee, dried fruit, roasted aromas and an elegant wood structure.

Finish: Very long, intensely smoky, with sweet, fruity and spicy notes.
