Old Ballantruan is produced at the Tomintoul Distillery, in Scotland.
Near the village of Tomintoul, in the Cromdale Hills, there is a spring called Ballantruan.
Unusual and rather untypical for the Speyside region, this whisky is made with a very strong peat malt.

Colour: Rich gold.
Nose: Sweet, slightly floral, spices, smoke.
Taste: Sweet, creamy, peat, smoke, notes of citrus, malty nuttiness.
Finish: Long lasting, notes of smoke, malt.
