The basis for this rum is a carefully composed blend of pot still and column still distillates, giving it a perfect balance of powerful aromas and smooth elegance. After distillation, it first matured for several years in ex-bourbon barrels in the tropics before receiving its special finish in Moscatel wine barrels. This post-maturing gives it an unmistakable floral sweetness that blends harmoniously with the warm notes of vanilla, caramel and oak. The result is a complex, multi-layered rum with depth and elegance that clearly bears Planteray's signature.
