The Plantation Rum FIJI ISLANDS KILCHOMAN PEATED Maturation 2009 is an exceptional rum that combines the exotic flavors of Fiji with an innovative peated whisky cask maturation. This rum is produced at the Rum Co. of Fiji Distillery and is first matured for 8.5 years in ex-bourbon casks, giving it a solid foundation of fruity and woody notes. The maturation in bourbon casks is followed by an additional 2-year maturation in Ferrand casks, which gives it additional complexity and fruity depth.

The special feature of this rum is the finish in Kilchoman Peated Whisky Casks for 6 months, which gives it a unique smoky and peaty note that is exceptional for Fiji rums. The peated whisky casks from the Kilchoman Distillery in Scotland help this rum to develop a powerful, smoky intensity that harmonizes perfectly with the tropical aromas. At 49.6% vol., this rum offers a balanced but powerful intensity that is suitable for both pure enjoyment and for cocktail creations.
