The name Roe & Co goes back to George Roe, once a world-famous whiskey distiller, who in the 19th century played a decisive role in ensuring that Irish whiskey lived through a truly golden era at that time.
The distillery George Roe and Co was not only Ireland’s biggest whiskey exporter, but also the direct neighbour of the Guinness Brewery, the other big placeholder in Dublin’s historic brewery and distillery district.
Due to prohibition in America and cheaper competition from Scotland, the traditional distillery had to close in 1926.
The only relics of the historic site are St. Patrick’s Tower and the pear tree growing at its foot — both symbols that Roe & Co is taking up to tell the moving story of George Roe.

Roe & Co Irish Whiskey consists of a combination of Irish Malt & Grain Whiskeys hand-picked by Master Blender Caroline Martin — matured in Bourbon casks, not cold filtered and bottled at 45% by volume, which makes it quite an interesting example among whiskeys.
The elegant blend possesses the typical smoothness of an Irish whiskey and at the same time has a surprising depth of taste.
The high proportion of first fill casks gives it a note of creamy vanilla, balanced by fruity nuances and light spice aromas.

Colour: Rich gold.
Nose: slightly fruity, spicy, hints of vanilla, wood.
Taste: Smooth, creamy, slightly spicy, melted sugar, notes of vanilla, pear compote.
Finish: Long lasting, mild, slightly creamy.
