The 20-year-old Extra Añejo from Santiago de Cuba was released in 2000 to mark the 485th anniversary of the founding of the city of Santiago de Cuba, which was celebrated on July 25, 1515. This exclusive rum matures for over two decades in carefully selected oak barrels, giving it a special depth and quality. The Santiago de Cuba brand takes its name from the famous Cuban city and province on the south coast, which is known for its long tradition of rum production.

The rum is produced from molasses in the former Matusalem distillery, which is located in the picturesque Sierra Maestra in eastern Cuba. This historic distillery, surrounded by the tropical nature and mountains of the region, offers ideal conditions for the maturation of premium rums.
