The Linkwood distillery actually consists of two distilleries, but they make no distinction when it comes to malt. The distillery, which is surrounded by forest on the outskirts of Elgin, which is one of the most important centers of the whisky industry with its eight distilleries, was founded around 1820 to increase the productivity of obsolete land.
