The eighth batch of the Balvenie Tun 1509 - were selected for this Filling 18 Casks, 4 ex-Bourbon casks, 6 second-fill ex-Sherry butts, 5 refill puncheons, 3 fresh ex-Sherry butts.
The selected Casks were married together and then in a batch bottled.

Nose: 

fruity aromas of ripe lemons and orange jam, reminiscent of a fresh lemon cake with glaze, behind it slightly nutty aromas and some maple syrup - above all elegant spicy notes

Taste: 

mouth-filling and soft in taste with lots of butterscotch and fudge, with a little vanilla and again the cake - mild, spicy honey is present, with fresh ginger, cardamom and something Cinnamon

Finish: 

long, pleasantly sweet and spicy finish with spicy oak tones
