The Dalmore CIGAR MALT Reserve is an exclusive Highland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 44 per cent in a 0.7-litre bottle and presented in a high-quality gift box. This exceptional bottling has been specially crafted to offer intense flavours and exceptional depth – whether enjoyed neat or as an accompaniment to a cigar. Master Whisky Maker Richard Paterson blended the whisky from carefully selected distillates, which were initially matured in ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak. The single malt is then given a complex finish in Cabernet Sauvignon barriques, Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks and Premier Cru Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks. This exceptional combination of casks lends the whisky its powerful yet elegant character, for which The Dalmore is renowned worldwide. The Dalmore CIGAR MALT Reserve impresses with a harmonious blend of fruitiness, spice and intense cask notes. The various cask types ensure exceptional complexity and give the whisky a well-rounded balance between sweet, spicy and fruity influences. As a result, this bottling is ideal both for lovers of characterful Highland single malts and for connoisseurs seeking a particularly multi-layered whisky with pronounced cask maturation.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep mahogany. Nose: Cinnamon, vanilla, dried fruit, red berries, orange peel and subtle oaky notes. Palate: Full-bodied with dark fruits, toffee, chocolate, spices, ripe berries and subtle sherry notes. Finish: Long-lasting, smooth and complex with oak, cocoa, spices and fruity nuances. 

The Dalmore CIGAR MALT Reserve reveals its flavours best when enjoyed neat or with a few drops of still water. It pairs superbly with mature Comté, beef fillet, game dishes, dark chocolate, espresso-based desserts or crème brûlée. 

Thanks to its multi-layered maturation in bourbon, sherry and red wine casks, this Highland single malt is also an excellent accompaniment to full-bodied premium cigars, for which it was originally conceived.
