Tomintoul Cognac Cask

A small batch NAS whisky from the Speyside distillery. 

This is aged in American oak casks before finishing in European oak barrels that previously held Cognac which add a layer of fruitiness and spice.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE: Light and lifted with aromas of chestnut, lemon rind, blossom honey and amaretto biscuits with hints of chamomile and fennel.

PALATE: Sweet choux pastry and Chantilly cream mingled with sugared almonds, butterscotch, golden raisins and rolling tobacco.

FINISH: Layers of white chocolate, panettone and nutmeg fading into warming ginger spices.
