Basically, one distinguishes between Izarra Vert, Izarra Jaune and Izarra 54.
Izarra was first produced in 1835 by Joseph Grattau. Grattau is also the founder of the distillery.
The liqueurs are stored in oak barrels and filtered again shortly before bottling. The Izarra is also known under the name "the devil in a bottle" or as "green wave".
Izarra Jaune consists of 13 different plants and spices. Comparable to the Izarra Vert, the Izarra Jaune is lighter in taste.
