The story of Johnnie Walker began in 1819, when the young John Walker sold his parents' farm after the unexpected death of his father to open a grocery and general store. When the quality of single malts was unreliable, John began blending his own spirits after blending was legalized to ensure consistent quality. His son continued this tradition after his father's death in 1857 and laid the foundation for today's whisky empire.

The Johnnie Walker Black Label is considered an icon among blended Scotch whiskies. Made from whisky that has been aged for at least 12 years, all four Scottish whisky regions - Highlands, Lowlands, Speyside and Islands - are used. Master Blender Jim Beveridge and his team ensure that the taste always remains consistent.
