The Planteray Rum ORIGINAL DARK Barbados & Jamaica is a dark rum with a strong character that comes from the renowned rum regions of Barbados and Jamaica. With its special production, it combines the elegance and harmony of Barbadian distillates with the strong aroma of Jamaican pot still rums. This rum is produced under the umbrella of Maison Ferrand, which is known for its exceptional rum blends and captures the diversity of Caribbean traditions in a bottle with this product.

The ageing process is particularly exciting: the distillates are first stored in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon barrels, where they develop their typical vanilla and wood aromas. This is followed by additional ageing in France, in the cellars of Maison Ferrand, in ex-Cognac barrels. This combination of tropical and continental maturing climates gives the rum its depth, complexity and unmistakable character. With an alcohol content of 40% vol., Planteray ORIGINAL DARK is a powerful, yet balanced and round rum that is perfect both on its own and in cocktails.
