The Plantations Rums are no longer an insider tip. The excellent rums are mainly collected in the Caribbean and also in South America and then brought to France, where they receive their finishing touches. In Ars in France, the rum is subsequently stored for several months in small discarded oak cognac barrels. This type of aging is called "double aging", this technique was already used in the 18th and 19th centuries.

This rum is a traditional pot still rum that undergoes a two week fermentation. The rum matures for 8 years in ex-bourbon barrels. The last 2 years it receives its finish in the cool cellars of Château de Bonbonnet in used Ferrand barrels.
