Springbank 15 Years Old Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 46% ABV, embodies the unmistakable style of one of Scotland's most traditional distilleries. Founded in 1828 by the Reid family on the Kintyre peninsula, the Springbank Distillery remains one of the most distinctive producers in the Campbeltown region. This 15-year-old bottling matures to a significant degree in sherry casks, which imparts a rich, warm character to the whisky. Typical of Springbank is the exceptionally long fermentation period of 110 hours, as well as the rare two-and-a-half-distillation process, in which part of the distillate is triple distilled and another part is double distilled. The malt is kilned for six hours over peat fires and then for 24 hours over hot air, resulting in a lightly peated character with approximately 12 to 15 ppm. The whisky is non-chill filtered, retaining its natural expressiveness and highlighting its authentic Campbeltown style.

The cask maturation process creates a complex, balanced single malt that combines the typical elements of the region – maritime notes, subtle smokiness, and finely integrated malt sweetness – with chocolatey, fruity, and spicy sherry aromas. This bottling impressively demonstrates why Springbank has been considered one of the country's most distinctive distilleries for decades and is highly regarded by connoisseurs.

Taster's note

Colour: Dark amber.

Nose: Sherry-typical and tropical fruit notes, malt, dark chocolate, gingerbread, almonds, toffee, vanilla, wood smoke, light maritime notes, leather, and oak.

Palate: Creamy body with sweet notes of raisins, figs, chocolate, pepper, vanilla, and marzipan.

Finish: Long, nutty, subtly fruity, and warming.
