The Portia winery is located in the Ribera del Duero wine region in Spain and covers 160 hectares. Besides Roa, Gumiel de Izán and Villanueva, Gumiel del Mercado is also part of the growing area.
The Portia house is also known for its unique construction. A building designed by Foster + Partners which is an architectural eye-catcher.
 

Tasting notes:

Intense cherry red in the glass. In the nose sweetish, after red fruits and vanilla. At the palate full-bodied, elegant tannins. Long lasting and sweetish with slightly toasted flavours in the attack.

Grape variety: Tempranillo.
Aging: 12 months in oak barrels.
Closure: Cork.

The wine harmonizes very well with meat dishes and slightly matured cheese.
